    Swami Vikekanand was born in Calcutta ( Kolkata ) district on 12 jan 1863.According to hindu traditional calender Vivekanand's birthday falls on the paush Krishna Paksha Saptami, the 7th day after the fool moon day. From his early childhood he was more attracted towards nature.He worked many hard to make a remark in his life.He was an extra ordinary genius during his collegius life as his college-principle  W.W.Hastie rightly said.

 His nick name was Narendra Nath Datta.His father name was Vishwanath Datta and his mother was Bhubaneswar Devi.He was a hindu monk saint and follower of hinduism.He was also a disciple of RamKrishan.His family had already possessed religious, philosophical and social values whose effect have been seen on him.

                            

During Vivekanand's life journey ,he travelled far along with spreading the message of Hinduism in the world.He studied many subjects such as philosophy, history,sociology, music ,fine arts, science and technology etc.After attaining spiritual and philosophical knowledge from his family ,discipline and meditation came to be known sanyasi as Swami Vivekanand.In 1893,he had given an extra ordinary speech about social and religious life at Parliament of religions at Chicago.

In the year 1898, Vivekanand established Ram krishan Mission whose head quarter was at Belur Math in the district of kolkata.His main motive behind establishment of this mission was to spread philosophical and sprictual knowledge to the people of the world.His guru Ramkrishna had rightly said that the paths of finding the god are different but their destination are same- he meant to say that their is a single god for all.

                                                                                                                                 

Vivekanand has given many spiritual and motivational statement to the youth of the world.He always told the youth to move forward not to see back by the medium of his statement"Arise,awake and stop not till the goal is achieved."He said "Follow truth wherever it may lead you;carry ideas to their utmost logical conclusion. Do not be cowardly and hypocritical."

On 4 july 1902,our extraordinary genius was no more with us.We cannot forget his contribution towards his teaching to the youth and spreading hindu philosophy in the world.
