Short essay on SARDAR VALLABHBHAI PATEL



         
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born on 31st
October 1875 at Nadiad district of Gujarat.He was one of the important freedom fighter and political leaders at the time of independence of India.He had a very strong will power. He completed his matriculation at the age of 22.

   Sardar wanted to be a barrister,so to fulfill his dream ,he went to England at the age of 36.After reaching there he joined Middle Temple Inn. He completed his barrister study within just 30 months which was actually a course of 36 months .After completing his course,he went to India and became a successful barrister.

   Sardar was belonging to a lower middle class family .His family was an agriculturist and belonging to Patidar Community.So, he was poor and therefore his childhood remained away from education.

    After returning to India,Sardar Patel met Gandhiji and join him in his work during the civil disobidiedis Movement.This was the time when Sardar started following Gandhiji.

                

    Sardar Patel had done many successful Satyagrah (movement) for the welfare of the people of India.Among them one was Bardoli Satyagrah ,the bombay government started collecting too much tax from the farmers.Sardar trained those farmers in such a way that they successfully came out from the revenue problem.By prrforming such types of movement,he was known as chief leader of gujarat.

   But one of his work from many satyagrah is so notable that we can never forget throughout our life. When he was deputy Prime minister of India,there were hundreds of princely states which were ready to separate and that was also ready to create a huge problem for the nation.But Patel fought strongly against this and by accepting the advise of Sardar,the people of different princely states ready to unite India.And so India was united and new constitution came into existance.

   But on 15th december 1951,our "Iron Man " was no more with us. We cannot forget his struggles and love for the nation.
